The Edmonton Oilers have acquired center Trent Frederic and forward Max Jones from the Boston Bruins in exchange for a 2025 second-round pick, a 2026 fourth-round pick, and defenseman Max Wanner. The Devils were also involved in this deal as they retained 50 percent of Frederic's salary and acquired the rights to prospect Shane Lachance. Through 57 contests in Boston, Frederic has found the back of the net eight times and added seven helpers. He has logged an impressive 155 hits with 29 blocked shots. While he has value in deeper formats that reward hits, his scoring production has dropped as he scored 17 and 18 goals in the 2022 and 2023 respectively. He will likely have a role in the Edmonton bottom-six and could be worth a look if he eventually sees time in the top-six.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller
