Trea Turner Injures Himself Tuesday
3 years agoWashington Nationals shortstop Trea Turner (undisclosed) appeared to injure himself on Tuesday night against the Philadelphia Phillies after he went from first to third base in the top of the first inning. Turner slid into third and didn't look comfortable, then went straight down the tunnel after scoring on first baseman Josh Bell's home run. There was speculation that Turner might've been traded, as his name has been in the rumor mill with the deadline approaching, but his exit looks to be injury related. Hopefully he won't miss extended time, but even a minor injury could affect his trade status this week. Turner has been one of the best all-around players in baseball in 2021. Coming into Tuesday's game, he was hitting .320/.368/.519 with 18 long balls, 65 runs, 49 RBI and 21 stolen bases in 387 at-bats. Stay tuned for more details on his injury.
