Titans Excited About Darrynton Evans
5 years agoThe Tennessee Titans are excited about rookie running back Darrynton Evans, and offensive coordinator Arthur Smith said during a conference call this week that how much of a role Evans will have will depend on how much he can handle. The Titans will use Evans to give workhorse Derrick Henry a break, and Evans is likely to give the team more playmaking ability than backup Dion Lewis did in 2019. The 21-year-old should be a solid complement to the bruising style of Henry in Tennessee's run-first offense, giving the rookie immediate fantasy value in redraft leagues this year. If Evans is used enough on third downs, he could generate standalone flex value in deep PPR leagues. But at the very least he'll be a must-have handcuff for Henry owners.
