Tim Wright Signs With Chiefs
7 years agoFree-agent tight end Tim Wright, who hasn't played a game in the NFL since 2015, announced on Instagram that he signed a contract with the Kansas City Chiefs on Tuesday. The 26-year-old missed all of 2016 after tearing the ACL in his knee and was cut by the Detroit Lions after the preseason in 2017. As a rookie with Tampa Bay in 2013, Wright had a career-high 54 catches for 571 yards, and he managed six touchdowns with the Patriots in 2014. He's not a lock to make the Chiefs roster but could provide depth behind Travis Kelce and Demetrius Harris.
