Three Teams In The Mix For Jackie Bradley Jr.?
4 years agoThe Houston Astros, San Francisco Giants and Boston Red Sox are three teams that are speculative landing spots for free-agent outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr., based on need. Boston could re-sign the Gold Glove outfielder if his price falls, similar to what happened with Marcell Ozuna and the Atlanta Braves. There have been differing reports on whether the New York Mets are still in play after they signed outfielder Albert Almora Jr. over the weekend. The Phillies, Cubs and Blue Jays have also been interested, but Toronto is likely out after signing George Springer. The 30-year-old has a career slash line of .239/.321/.412 in eight seasons with Boston, but he hit .283 with seven home runs, 22 RBI and five steals in the shortened 2020 season and can provide a boost offensively when he's locked in. But JBJ is also a streaky hitter and can be tough to roster for fantasy managers, which is why he's more of a late-round flier in deep mixed leagues.
