Teddy Bridgewater Tosses One TD In Preseason Finale
3 years agoDenver Broncos quarterback Teddy Bridgewater completed six of his 11 passes for 62 yards and one touchdown in the 17-12 win over the Los Angeles Rams in the preseason finale on Saturday night. Bridgewater only looked good on one of three offensive drives with the team's top skill position players on Saturday. His touchdown pass went to top receiver Courtland Sutton, and he also connected with Sutton on a 19-yard pass earlier in the drive. The 28-year-old will head into Week 1 against the New York Giants as the starter under center after beating out Drew Lock in training camp. Bridgewater doesn't have the physical upside that Lock does, but he can be an effective game manager and has plenty of weapons on offense. Without a high ceiling, Bridgewater is more of a low-end QB2 and won't be all that enticing in Week 1 against New York.
