Steven Souza Suffers Shoulder Strain Wednesday Night
7 years agoUpdating a previous report, Steven Souza suffered a right shoulder strain on Wednesday night while attempting to make a diving catch. Souza was in a lot of discomfort, but walked off the field under his own power. Manager Torey Lovullo doesn't seem too worried, stating that the Diamondbacks are "built" for situations like this. Souza is scheduled for an MRI Thursday, where the full extent of his injury will be revealed. If Souza requires a DL stint, Jarrod Dyson will likely get the majority of time in right field. Chris Owings and Yasmany Tomas could also see some at-bats.
