Steelers Defense Has Highest Pressure Rate In NFL
4 years agoThe Pittsburgh Steelers Defense has the highest pressure rate in the NFL (43.5 percent) and has three of the top six players in pressure rate with a minimum of 200 pass-rush snaps. T.J. Watt leads the league with 48 quarterback pressures -- 10 more than the next-closest player -- due in large part to a 0.67-second average get-off, which is the fastest in the NFL. Rams pass-rusher Aaron Donald has the second-best pressure rate (14.8 percent) and leads all interior pass-rushers in QB pressures (38), pressure rate, turnovers caused by pressure (three) and sacks (nine). Buccaneers Defense end Shaquil Barrett comes in third on the list with a 14.4 percent pressure rate, followed by Chargers defensive end Joey Bosa (14.0 percent), Steelers defensive end Bud Dupree (13.9 percent) and Steelers pass-rusher Stephon Tuitt (13.7 percent). It's safe to say that the Steelers defense is an elite fantasy unit. They should be started with confidence this weekend against the Bengals and rookie QB Joe Burrow.
