Steelers Cut Myles Jack Thursday
2 years agoThe Pittsburgh Steelers released linebacker Myles Jack on Thursday, according to a source. It comes on the heels of Jack's third straight season of 100-plus total tackles, as he finished his lone season with the team in 2022 with 104 tackles (61 solo) and three passes defensed in 15 games (13 starts). The 27-year-old limped to the finish line last year due to a groin injury, but it can't be ignored that he's had over 100 total tackles in four of the last five seasons with the Steelers and Jacksonville Jaguars. Jack had signed a two-year, $16 million deal with the Steelers prior to the 2022 campaign. His fantasy value in IDP leagues is limited because of his lack of sacks and poor coverage abilities. The former second-rounder should generate plenty of interest on the open market.
