Should Chase Elliott Be Rostered At Nashville?
5 months agoFor Sunday's Ally 400 at Nashville Superspeedway, Chase Elliott nabbed a starting position of 13th. It is the second time in his Cup career that Elliott will start outside of the Top 10 at Nashville. In three previous starts at the site, Elliott has one win and two top-5 finishes while leading in all three of his cup appearances. With 18 races completed so far this season, Elliott is tied for the season points lead, has one win, nine top-10 finishes, and remains the only driver to place in the Top 20 of all points-paying races. In practice, Elliott ranked 33rd in overall lap averages while ranking among the Top 10 fastest Group B drivers. With great history at Nashville and excellent consistency throughout the 2024 season, Elliott is a solid driver capable of competing for a top-10 finish. For DFS lineups, however, Elliott should have modest exposure since his high salary leaves little cap flexibility, and there are more favorable alternatives available.
