Shaquil Barrett Could Be Done For The Year
2 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers star pass-rusher Shaquil Barrett (Achilles) is feared to have suffered a torn Achilles in the Thursday night loss to the Baltimore Ravens based on an initial exam, according to a source. Head coach Todd Bowles said it doesn't look good, and Barrett will undergo an MRI exam to confirm on Friday. It's devastating news for a Buccaneers defense that has struggled in recent weeks. The 29-year-old is arguably the defense's best player, so losing him for the rest of the season would be a major blow to the Buccaneers D/special teams unit in fantasy. Barrett had three solo tackles and a sack against Baltimore and has 31 tackles (20 solo), three sacks, six tackles for loss, six QB hits and a forced fumble through eight games in 2022.
