Kodai Senga Begins Road Back to Mets
Kodai Senga (hamstring) has been on the injured list with a Grade 1 right hamstring strain for the past three weeks. The 32-year-old threw an up-and-down live batting practice session on Sunday. It was the first time he had faced hitters since the injury. His next step would be a bullpen session followed by a rehab assignment. Before landing on the injured list, Senga owned a 1.47 ERA, 1.11 WHIP, and 70 strikeouts over 73 2/3 innings. Barring any setbacks, Senga is expected to return by the end of July. Blake Tidwell has been filling in as a spot starter for the Mets since Senga was injured. Fantasy managers should continue to stash Senga in all leagues.
