Philadelphia Flyers center Sean Couturier has reportedly suffered a herniated disc in his back and is set to miss the start of the 2022-23 NHL season. Early reports are suggesting that the 29-year-old will be sidelined for 12 weeks. Couturier already missed a large chunk of last season with a back injury, so this is a bitter blow for the two-time 30-goal scorer. He managed just 29 games in 2021-22, scoring six goals and dishing out 11 assists. Couturier had four very prolific seasons before getting bitten badly by the injury bug last term and the team going through a really rough campaign. He should be able to enjoy a nice bounce-back campaign once he's back healthy.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
