Seahawks Restructure Shelby Harris' Contract
3 years agoThe Seattle Seahawks restructured former Denver Broncos defensive tackle Shelby Harris' contract on Wednesday to create $3.260 million in salary cap space for this season, according to a source. Harris came over to Seattle in the trade that sent quarterback Russell Wilson to the Broncos this offseason. The 30-year-old pass-rusher tied his career-high of six sacks in 2021 and will be a key addition for the Seahawks defensive line moving forward. In his five seasons with Denver, Harris had 21.5 sacks, 117 solo tackles, 34 tackles for loss, 44 QB hits, one interception, 25 passes defensed and three forced fumbles in 75 games (49 starts).
