Roman Anthony Hitting Leadoff on Sunday
Roman Anthony will start in left field and hit leadoff for the BoSox in Sunday's series finale at Fenway Park against the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers and right-hander Dustin May. It will be the first time in Anthony's career that he has hit in the leadoff spot. The 21-year-old has earned a move up the batting order by going 16-for-49 (.327) with a home run, six RBI and a stolen base in his last 15 games. The former second-round pick in 2022 has played in only 39 games in his first year in the big leagues and is hitting .265/.382/.409 with a .791 OPS, two home runs, 15 RBI, 20 runs scored and two stolen bases in 157 plate appearances. Anthony hasn't been unstoppable early in his career with Boston, but he's starting to figure things out and could be a major asset for fantasy managers down the stretch.
