The Texas Rangers named Bruce Bochy as their new manager for the 2023 season on Friday. Bochy will be the 20th full-time manager in franchise history. The three-time World Series champion manager will come out of retirement to join a Rangers squad that has had six straight losing seasons. The 67-year-old hasn't managed since his final season with the San Francisco Giants in 2019. Bochy has won 2,003 games as a manager in his career -- 951 with the San Diego Padres from 1995 to 2006 and 1,052 with the Giants from 2007 to 2019. The Rangers fired former skipper Chris Woodward on Aug. 15 and finished the 2022 campaign 68-94, which was eight wins more than the previous season. They went 17-31 under interim manager Tony Beasley.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
