4 years agoThe Los Angeles Rams plan on signing quarterback Blake Bortles off the Denver Broncos practice squad with Jared Goff (thumb) unlikely to play in the Week 17 regular season finale against the Cardinals after having surgery to fix a broken and dislocated right thumb on Monday night. With Goff likely out until the playoffs (if the team advances), John Wolford is expected to make his first NFL start this Sunday against Arizona. Bortles hasn't seen any NFL action since he played in three games with the Rams last season, but he attempted just two passes. Wolford will get the start in a must-win game over the Cardinals, but he and the entire Rams offense should be avoided for fantasy purposes if your league's championship takes place in Week 17.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
