Rams Cut Mason Crosby
1 year agoThe Los Angeles Rams released kicker Mason Crosby from their practice squad on Tuesday. The veteran Crosby signed with the Rams last week and was brought up to the active roster for the Week 14 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, but he was ultimately inactive and the Rams went with Lucas Havrisik as the starting kicker on Sunday. Now the 39-year-old Crosby is back on the street. Havrisik made all three of his field-goal attempts in Sunday's overtime loss and both of his extra-point tries, so the Rams are apparently comfortable rolling with him for another game in Week 15 against the Washington Commanders. If Crosby doesn't latch on with another team for the rest of the 2023 season, he could hang up his cleats this offseason after 16 seasons with the Green Bay Packers.
