Joe Flacco the Favorite for Starting QB Job
While the Cleveland Browns haven't made any announcements on their quarterback competition, The Athletic's Zac Jackson writes that 18-year veteranJoe Mixon Currently in Walking Boot
Joe Mixon (foot) did not participate in voluntary OTA workouts on Friday. Mixon is currently in a walking boot, but it's reportedly not a serious injury. The star running back played through an ankle injury in the playoffs, so maybe it's not 100 percent healed yet. Regardless, fantasy managers shouldn't be concerned as Mixon should be ready to go in time for training camp. The Texans aren't going to push Mixon onto the field this early into camp when he's not fully healthy. This minor injury shouldn't impact his status on draft boards.Source: Aaron Wilson
Houston Texans running back C.J. Stroud Dealing with Minor Injury
C.J. Stroud (pectoral) is not throwing during voluntary OTAs this week. Stroud watched from the sideline on Friday as he's currently nursing a minor pectoral injury. The organization has downplayed this injury. The Texans aren't concerned at all and believe Stroud will increase his activities next week. For now, Davis Mills will run the offense with the first unit until Stroud is feeling better. Fantasy managers shouldn't be concerned by this as it truly sounds like a minor issue. There is no reason for the Texans to have Stroud practice at less than 100 percent this early into camp.Source: Aaron Wilson
Houston Texans quarterback Dillon Gabriel Unlikely to Win Starting Gig
Dillon Gabriel appears to be a longshot to win the starting gig to begin the season. Zac Jackson of The Athletic believes there's really no scenario where Gabriel wins the No. 1 spot on Day 1. This news shouldn't really shock anyone as Gabriel was a third-round pick during this year's draft. It's not often that third-round quarterbacks get to start under center Day 1, but that doesn't mean Gabriel is doomed. Both Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders have uphill battles ahead of themselves heading into training camp. It looks like it's going to be a four-quarterback battle between Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, Sanders, and Gabriel. Both rookie quarterbacks are worth stashing in dynasty leagues, but fantasy managers shouldn't expect them to be relevant for Week 1.Source: The Athletic
Cleveland Browns quarterback 49ers Nearing Trade for Bryce Huff
Source: Adam Schefter
Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Bryce Huff appears to be likely on his way to the San Francisco 49ers. The two sides are reportedly finalizing a deal that would send Huff to San Francisco for a mid-round draft pick. Huff still has two years left on a three-year deal he signed with the Eagles last offseason. He was limited to 12 games due to injury and his stats reflected it. Huff finished with 13 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and one fumble forced during his first season with Philly. In 2023, Huff recorded 10 sacks in 17 games with the New York Jets, so the talent is certainly there. The trade can't be processed until after June 1, so expect something to happen shortly after that.Anthony Campbell Signs with Seattle
Source: John Boyle
John Boyle of Seahawks.com reports that the Seattle Seahawks have signed undrafted rookie free agent defensive tackle Anthony Campbell to a three-year, $2.965 million contract. Defensive tackle DeMeco Roland was waived in a corresponding move. The Miami (FL) product was a four-year player in college, but spent his final two seasons as a Hurricane, appearing in nine games. Campbell's most productive season came in 2022 with Louisiana-Monroe, notching four tackles for loss, one sack, one pass defensed, and one forced fumble. He'll provide depth at nose tackle for Seattle behind teammates Byron Murphy II, Johnathan Hankins, and Quinton Bohanna.Ravens Sign Malaki Starks
Source: Ryan Mink
Per the team, the Baltimore Ravens have signed rookie defensive back Malaki Starks to a four-year, $16.57 million contract. The Ravens finally inked their No. 27 overall pick. Starks is set to immediately impact Baltimore's defensive backfield alongside All-Pro safety Kyle Hamilton and brings another versatile asset to their backend. He was a five-star prospect out of high school, ranked in the top 15 nationally, and garnered Second-team All-SEC honors in his final season with Georgia. There are questions about the 21-year-old's consistency, but he'll be surrounded by a crew of solid DBs that should help to mitigate any early issues he may run into.Audric Estime in Line for More Touches

Jaxson Dart Signs Rookie Contract
Jaxson Dart to a four-year contract, per Dan Salomone of Giants.com. The financial details of the agreement have not been disclosed. Dart was the Giants' second selection in the first round (No. 25 overall) and joins four of his other seven draft mates to ink their rookie deal. It was recently noted that the Ole Miss product would sit his entire rookie season if "all goes well," per ESPN's Jordan Raanan. Still, it's unclear how long a leash fellow signal-callers Jameis Winston and Russell Wilson will be given in their first season with the team. The Giants don't need to rush Dart onto the field. In fact, it'd likely behoove them more to do the opposite -- develop him the proper way behind a veteran (or two) for a year or two.Source: Dan Salomone
The New York Giants have signed rookie first-round quarterback Vikings Sign Kwesi Adofo-Mensah to Multi-Year Extension

The Minnesota Vikings signed general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah to an undisclosed multi-year contract extension on Thursday night, sources tell NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. The Vikings are 34-17 with two playoff appearances since Adofo-Mensah and head coach Kevin O'Connell arrived, and now both are signed with the organization for years to come. Both O'Connell and Adofo-Mensah signed four-year contracts when they first arrived in 2022. Minnesota has the league's sixth-best regular-season winning percentage (.667) since Adofo-Mensah and O'Connell were hired. The Vikings have received only 107 starts from players they drafted since 2022, but Adofo-Mensah has compiled a stellar free-agent class in 2024 that included quarterback John Harbaugh Wants to See Isaiah Likely Become an All-Pro

Lions Expecting Big Season From Jameson Williams
Jameson Williams "to have a huge season." The Lions are expecting more from Williams after his breakout season in 2024 in which he caught 58 of his 91 targets for 1,001 yards and seven touchdowns in 15 regular-season games (11 starts). The 24-year-old former 12th overall pick in 2022 out of Ohio State battled injuries in his first two NFL seasons and also was hit with a suspension before finally realizing his potential last year. He also had 11 carries for 61 yards and a touchdown as a rusher. While fantasy managers have come to love Williams' big-play potential in one of the highest-scoring offenses in the NFL, it's going to be hard for him to maintain significant targets in an offense that lost offensive coordinator Ben Johnson. Detroit could emphasize the deep passing game more often, but Williams will be more of a boom/bust WR3/flex.Source: Detroit Lions

Jakobi Meyers, Other Receivers Being Moved Around a Lot
The Athletic's Tashan Reed reports that the Las Vegas Raiders are moving their receivers around a lot during voluntary organized team activities.Malcolm Koonce Returns to Practice, Christian Wilkins Still Out
Source: The Athletic - Tashan Reed
Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Malcolm Koonce (knee) returned to practice at voluntary organized team activities on Thursday, an important step in his recovery from the torn ACL that caused him to miss all of the 2024 season. In his return to practice on Thursday, Koonce was primarily limited to individual drills. Meanwhile, defensive tackle Christian Wilkins (foot) didn't practice on Thursday as he continues to rehab from a Jones fracture he suffered last October. It's unlikely that Wilkins will make an appearance on the field before training camp. The Raiders are hoping that Koonce can be one of their most effective edge rushers in 2025 opposite All-Pro Maxx Crosby. The 26-year-old former third-rounder (79th overall) in 2021 out of Buffalo had 43 tackles (32 solo), eight sacks, nine tackles for loss, 17 QB hits and three forced fumbles in 17 games (11 starts) in 2023.
