Pablo Lopez Likely to Land on Injured List
Pablo Lopez (lat) is likely to land on the 15-day injured list after suffering a lat strain on the back of his right shoulder during his outing on Tuesday against the Athletics. "It's not the greatest news to hear, to have to deal with, but if there's a silver lining it's that it wasn't that posterior cuff or that I didn't feel anything blowing up," Lopez said. The 29-year-old at least won his fifth game of the year against the A's, but he'll now be out at least the next two weeks and likely longer given the nature of his injury. In the meantime, fantasy managers should keep Lopez stashed after he's gone 5-3 with a 2.82 ERA and 1.07 WHIP in 11 starts this year. David Festa and Simeon Woods Richardson are two potential candidates to enter Minnesota's starting rotation with Lopez injured.
