Oscar Mercado is Out of the Lineup
5 years agoCleveland Indians outfielder Oscar Mercado (rest) is out of the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the New York Mets. Mercado didn't play in Wednesday's game either, but it doesn't appear to be injury related. The Indians have no designated hitter while in NL parks, so they have a bit of a logjam in the outfield. Greg Allen will play center field and bat second versus righty Noah Syndergaard. Allen doesn't have much upside with the bat and can be avoided in DFS contests.
