Orlando Arcia Hits A Double In His Return

In his return from the injured list on Sunday, Atlanta Braves shortstop Orlando Arcia went 1-for-4 with a double and two strikeouts in the team's 3-2 extra-inning victory over the visiting Baltimore Orioles. It was Arcia's first game action since April 12 because he didn't go on a minor-league rehab assignment before he returned from the injured list. The 28-year-old should take over primary shortstop duties in Atlanta now that he's back and Vaughn Grissom is back in the minor leagues. Arcia is more useful for his glove on defense, but you also can't ignore the fact that he's hitting .327 (16-for-49) with three doubles, two home runs, seven RBI and 10 runs scored in his first 14 games played in 2023.
