5/17:The Philadelphia Phillies hottest hitter continued to excel on Thursday as the club picked up another victory to move nine games over .500. Outfielder Odubel Herrera, who started in center and was batting third, picked up a pair of hits, including an RBI double in the eighth that increased the team’s lead to four runs. With the Cardinals scoring two runs in the same inning, Herrera’s hit loomed larger as the club’s bullpen woes continued. For his part, Herrera is now hitting .375 over the past seven games, continuing his terrific start, which coincides with the Phillies impressive beginning to the campaign.--Ricky Delgado - RotoBaller
