Odell Beckham Jr. Will Not Play In Week 2
3 years agoCleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said that wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (knee) will not play in Week 2 against the Houston Texans on Sunday. It will be Beckham's second straight missed game to start the year after he suffered a torn ACL last October. It's frustrating for Beckham's fantasy managers, but the Browns are being extra cautious with their star receiver. With OBJ out in the Week 1 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, rookie Anthony Schwartz surprisingly tied Jarvis Landry and David Njoku for the lead in targets with five. Landry is still the better fantasy play in a great matchup against the Texans and will have clear WR2 upside with Beckham out again. Schwartz, who looks to have nice chemistry with quarterback Baker Mayfield, is worth a pickup in deeper leagues, especially if you own Beckham.
