Nyheim Hines Could Be A Factor In Punt-Return Game
2 years agoBuffalo Bills general manager Brandon Beane gave firm indication that newly acquired running back Nyheim Hines could be a factor in the punt-return game in his debut with the team in Week 9 against the New York Jets. Hines adds wide-ranging versatility and breakaway speed to the Bills backfield, but he might contribute the most, at least initially, on special teams. Head coach Sean McDermott wouldn't discuss how extensive Hines' role on offense might be this weekend, and he didn't rule out the possibility that Hines could see more time on offense. The 25-year-old is mostly useful in PPR leagues for his pass-catching skills, as he had 25 receptions (28 targets) for 188 yards in seven games with the Colts this year. But it remains to be seen how much he'll be involved in a backfield that already consists of Devin Singletary and impressive rookie James Cook.
