Nick Chubb Not Being Ruled Out For Thursday
3 years agoCleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said he's "not ruling out" running back Nick Chubb (calf) from playing this Thursday against the Denver Broncos in Week 7. Stefanski said that Chubb is "progressing" after he was ruled out of Sunday's blowout loss to the undefeated Arizona Cardinals. The Browns also aren't considering putting Chubb on Injured Reserve, which would keep him out for an additional three games. The 25-year-old still appears unlikely for this week, and with Kareem Hunt (calf) expected to miss four to six weeks, Cleveland's backfield could be a committee between D'Ernest Johnson and rookie Demetric Felton on Thursday night. Fantasy managers would be wise to have a backup plan in place for Chubb in Week 7 in case he doesn't get clearance by Thursday evening.
