Nathan Eovaldi To Throw Simulated Game Tuesday
6 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Nathan Eovaldi (elbow) will throw another simulated game on Tuesday and he'll likely go on a rehab assignment after that. Eovaldi should be able to return to the rotation sometime in the middle of June, barring any setbacks. He had a disappointing 6.00 ERA, 1.52 WHIP and 16 strikeouts in 21 innings over his first four starts of the season, but perhaps his elbow was to blame for the uneven performances. Eovaldi has the stuff to dominate like he did in the 2018 postseason, so he's still attractive to those in mixed leagues for his strikeout upside when he's healthy. Consider scooping him up soon if you need starting pitching help.
