Mookie Betts and Dustin Pedroia Out On Monday
7 years agoBoston Red Sox outfielder Mookie Betts will miss his second straight game with tightness in his left side when the Red Sox take on the Toronto Blue Jays on Monday afternoon. Fantasy owners will be hoping for a quick return for the possible American League MVP. Betts has torched opposing pitchers so far this season with a .359 batting average, 17 home runs, 37 RBI, 52 runs scored, 13 stolen bases and a .750 slugging percentage. Second baseman Dustin Pedroia will also be sitting out on Monday as he eases back into the lineup. He has gone hitless in nine plate appearances since his return from the disabled list. Brock Holt will take over Betts' place in the outfield, while Eduardo Nunez draws the start at second base. Make sure to adjust your lineups accordingly.
