Mitchell Trubisky Out Against Vikings
4 years agoChicago Bears backup quarterback Mitchell Trubisky (shoulder) didn't practice all week and will miss the Monday night game against the Vikings. Trubisky injured his right shoulder on his only rushing attempt of the game in Week 8 against the Saints and hasn't been active since. He's week-to-week, but the good news is that he will not require surgery on his throwing arm. Trubisky will hope to return after the team's bye in Week 11 against the division-rival Packers in Week 12. Either Tyler Bray or Kyle Sloter will be called up from the practice squad to back up Nick Foles on Monday night. Foles, who took over as the starter in Week 4, has been wildly mediocre as the leader of this stuck-in-the-mud offense. He'll have a prime opportunity against a bad Vikings Defense this week, though, giving him QB2 upside in two-QB leagues.
