Mitchell Trubisky 2020 Outlook: Must Win QB Competition To Regain Appeal In Two-QB Leagues
5 years ago2019 was a bad year for Mitchell Trubisky, and this offseason has been just as bad for the former first-round pick, if not worse. Not only did the Bears trade for Nick Foles to give Trubisky competition for the starting job in 2020, but they also declined the 25-year-old's fifth-year option for the 2021 campaign. The second overall pick in 2017 might've already had his last shot to prove he's the franchise signal-caller, and he face-planted by throwing for only 3,138 yards, 17 touchdowns and 10 interceptions last year. It was a step back from his 2018 Pro Bowl season. Trubisky finished as the No. 27 fantasy QB in 2019 and at this point is nothing more than a game manager with a low ceiling. With the QB job in 2020 expected to be Foles' to lose, Trubisky has fallen completely off the radar in leagues that start only one quarterback.
