Mike Trout Unlikely To Play Thursday

Los Angeles Angels skipper Phil Nevin said that outfielder Mike Trout (back) is unlikely to return to the starting lineup on Thursday against the Houston Astros due to back spasms. Trout left the game early on Tuesday and was held out of the lineup on Wednesday in the team's 7-1 win. With the 30-year-old superstar dealing with injury, the Angels called up outfielder Jo Adell from Triple-A Salt Lake, and he started and went 2-for-5 with an RBI and two strikeouts on Wednesday. Taylor Ward got the start in center field and should be there again if Trout sits for a second straight game. Fantasy managers should consider Trout day-to-day at this point. He's hitting .270/.368/.599 with a .967 OPS, 24 home runs, 51 RBI, 55 runs scored and one stolen base this year.
