2 years agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout (back) will be held out of action for the second straight game on Thursday as the team takes on left-hander Framber Valdez and the Houston Astros. Taylor Ward will be covering center field for the game. Trout is currently dealing with upper back spasms. The ailment caused him to leave Tuesday's game early. He underwent an MRI and a CT scan and the two exams showed no muscle strains or tightness. It sounds as if he will still need at least another day or two off before returning to the field, but he's still expected to play in next Tuesday's All-Star game at this point.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
