Montreal Canadiens defenseman Mike Matheson (lower body) will travel with the team to Columbus for Wednesday's clash with the Blue Jackets. The veteran blue-liner was a late scratch for Tuesday's game against Utah, but it looks like his injury isn't too serious. Matheson is the leader of the Canadiens defense, averaging over 24 minutes of action per game. He has posted 13 points (one goal, 12 assists) in 20 appearances, with 29 shots on goal and 48 blocks. With Matheson unavailable, Justin Barron re-entered the lineup on Tuesday. Lane Hutson moved to the first power-play unit and will play a larger role again on Wednesday if Matheson remains out.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
