Mike Evans Testing His Knee Thursday
4 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans (knee) is testing his hyperextended knee in practice on Thursday. He looked comfortable in the portion of practice open to the media, giving him a chance to play against the Washington Football Team on Saturday in the wild-card playoff game. The 27-year-old seems to be on the right track, but fantasy managers should continue to monitor his progress up until Saturday night. If he's limited at all against Washington or inactive, Antonio Brown and Chris Godwin will be more attractive fantasy options. If there are no issues, Evans will be a low-end WR1 for wild-card weekend. He posted an NFL-record seven straight 1,000-yard receiving campaigns to begin his career with 70 catches for 1,006 yards and a career-high 13 touchdowns this season. Quarterback Tom Brady loves to look his way in the red zone.
