Mike Evans Absent Wednesday
4 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans (knee) was absent during the portion of practice open to the media on Wednesday. Evans took part in the team's Tuesday walkthrough, but he wouldn't have been available had it been a regular practice. He suffered a hyperextended knee in the Week 17 win over the Falcons but didn't sustain any structural damage. The 27-year-old is being considered day-to-day for now and is questionable to face Washington in Saturday's wild-card playoff contest. Evans had a career-high 13 touchdowns in his first season with quarterback Tom Brady, so the Tampa offense could be compromised if he cannot play or is limited. Antonio Brown and Chris Godwin would take on bigger roles, as well as Scotty Miller. Continue to monitor Evans' progress throughout the week.
