Miguel Andujar May Switch Positions In 2020
5 years agoNew York Yankees third baseman Miguel Andujar, who played in just 12 games in 2019 due to a shoulder injury, could be moved around the field in 2020. He could be an option at an infield corner spot, at designated hitter or even in the outfield. Andujar will turn 25 in March, had an .855 OPS in his rookie season and finished second to only Shohei Ohtani in the 2018 Rookie of the Year voting. Giovanny Urshela was a stud both offensively and defensively at the hot corner in place of Andujar, but Andujar hit .297/.328/.527 with 47 doubles, 27 homers and 92 RBI in 149 games in 2018. Andujar and Urshela project to compete at third base, but Andujar could also be an option at first base with Luke Voit, Greg Bird and Mike Ford in the mix.
