Miguel Andujar Could be Out a Couple of Weeks
Miguel Andujar (oblique) suffered a Grade 2 right-oblique strain while swinging on June 1 against the Toronto Blue Jays and landed on the 10-day injured list the next day. Andujar will be out "a couple weeks, if not longer," according to director of sports medicine and rehabilitation Brian Schulman. The 30-year-old veteran Dominican has been valuable for fantasy managers in AL-only leagues despite his lack of counting stats, as he's hit .296 (50-for-169) in 46 games for the A's this year. He has the ability to play both third base and the outfield, too, giving the team more flexibility. Barring a setback with his oblique, Andujar could return to the big-league roster in late June. In the meantime, the A's could mix and match at the hot corner with Luis Urias, Max Schuemann and CJ Alexander.
