Michael Woods II Likely To Miss 2023 Season
2 years agoA Cleveland Browns spokesperson confirmed on Tuesday that Cleveland Browns wide receiver Michael Woods II (Achilles) suffered a ruptured Achilles and will need surgery, likely causing him to miss all of the 2023 season. Woods suffered the devastating injury recently while working out in Texas with quarterback Deshaun Watson. It's a tough break for last year's sixth-round pick and is a blow to Cleveland's depth at the receiver position. The 23-year-old caught only five of 10 targets for 45 yards and no touchdowns in 10 games in his rookie season. Thankfully for the Browns, they added some more wideout depth this offseason via trade (Elijah Moore) and free agency (Marquise Goodwin).
