Minnesota Twins right-handed reliever Michael Tonkin (shoulder) is scheduled to make a pair of multi-inning minor-league rehab outings for Triple-A St. Paul, according to The Athletic's Dan Hayes. Tonkin has already made three rehab appearances with Single-A Fort Myers and St. Paul, allowing six runs (five earned) on eight hits (four homers) while walking none and striking out six in just 4 1/3 innings of work. The 35-year-old veteran reliever hasn't had the best results, but the only thing that matters is that he hasn't had a setback with his shoulder. If he's able to get through his multi-inning rehab outings this week, he could be activated from the 15-day injured list and return to Minnesota's bullpen by the weekend. When Tonkin returns to the Twins, he'll be making his 2025 debut after opening the year on the 15-day injured list with a strained right shoulder.--Keith Hernandez
