The New York Jets have signed undrafted free agent defensive lineman Michael Fletcher to a three-year, $2.96 million contract. Fletcher was ranked the No. 1 high school defensive end prospect in the state of Michigan by ESPN.com and a consensus top 50 player in the nation. After four seasons with Michigan State -- in which he garnered just three starts in 22 games -- he transferred to Appalachian State and found much more success. Over those final two campaigns, he recorded 40 tackles (18 solo) with 8.5 sacks and ten tackles for loss. The Michigan native is likely set for a rotational/depth role off the edge for the Jets if he makes the roster, and joins a unit that ranked eleventh as a team with 43 sacks in 2024.--Alex CiullaRead More News
