The Kansas City Chiefs visited with free-agent linebacker Melvin Ingram, but the visit concluded on Wednesday without a deal. Ingram spent his entire nine-year career with the Los Angeles Chargers before becoming a free agent this offseason. The former 18th overall pick in 2012 produced 49 total sacks in his time with the Chargers, but injuries held the soon-to-be 32-year-old to just seven games in 2020. The Chiefs had only 32 sacks (22nd in the league) during the regular season last year, and their pass rush was non-existent in the Super Bowl loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Ingram had an interception, two passes defensed, five QB hits and no sacks in his seven games last year. Adding Ingram would be a boost to their pass-rushing unit, but it's unclear if that will happen now.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
