Melvin Gordon III An RB3/Flex Against Jaguars
2 years agoAfter being benched in the team's Week 6 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, Denver Broncos running back Melvin Gordon III started in the Week 7 loss to the New York Jets and led the backfield with 11 carries for 33 yards, also catching two of four targets for 17 yards. However, he only out-touched Latavius Murray 13-10, and Murray scored the team's lone touchdown on a a goal-line carry. The 29-year-old Gordon should once again get the start in London in Week 8 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, but it seems likely that the Broncos coaching staff will keep Gordon in a timeshare with Murray, and Murray might be the team's preferred red-zone/goal-line back. The Jaguars have allowed the eighth-most half-point PPR fantasy points per game to RBs this year, but Gordon will be a touchdown-dependent RB3/flex in the lowest-scoring offense in the league.
