Matthew Stafford Non-Committal About Playing In Week 11
4 years agoDetroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford (thumb) isn't committing to playing in Week 11 against the Panthers after partially tearing a ligament in his right thumb in the Week 10 win over Washington. "Just taking it day to day. Trying to figure out if I can get through it. ... See if I can go out there and play," Stafford said. The 32-year-old is expected to tough it out and play through the injury, but it's no sure thing, especially since he didn't practice on Wednesday. If he were to sit out, Chase Daniel would start under center for Detroit and would be an option for those searching for a QB in two-QB superflex leagues. If Stafford can return to practice later this week and give it a go, he'll be on the streaming radar against a middle-of-the-pack Panthers Defense.
