Matt Kenseth A Viable DFS Play At Texas
4 years agoChip Ganassi Racing's Matt Kenseth will start from the 32nd position in Sunday's Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 500 at Texas Motor Speedway. Last week, Kenseth's difficult season continued when he finished dead last, after getting in an accident with Erik Jones, midway through the race. Luckily for Kenseth, Texas has been his best statistical track, as he boasts an average finish of 9.7. In his 31 career starts at TMS, Kenseth has two wins, 14 top-fives, and 19 top-10 finishes. Kenseth finished in 18th in the July race, his only start in the No. 42. While Kenseth has mightily struggled this year, his starting position is just too good to pass up. He will have a nice upside in position differential, and his DFS salary is below-average. Kenseth burned DFS players last week, but it is hard to imagine another disastrous finish. If Kenseth can snag a finish inside the top-20, he will make a solid contribution to lineups.
