Masahiro Tanaka Struggles In Victory
6 years agoPitching two days later than originally scheduled due to the birth of a daughter, New York Yankees starter Masahiro Tanaka wasn't great, but pitched well enough to earn a victory. The 30-year-old went 6 2/3 innings, allowing four earned runs on seven hits. An early three-run home run put him in a hole, but his offense pounded out 12 runs in a winning performance. Tanaka also struck out seven as he picked up his fourth victory of the season. His next outing is scheduled for Sunday against the Chicago White Sox.
