Marquez Valdes-Scantling Won't Practice Thursday
3 years agoGreen Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said that wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling (hamstring) will miss his second straight practice on Thursday. Valdes-Scantling's hamstring injury isn't believed to be a long-term issue, but it doesn't mean he'll play in Week 4 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Packers aren't expected to make a final decision on him until later in the week, possibly before game time late Sunday afternoon. The 26-year-old is second on the team in targets behind Davante Adams, but he'll be an extremely risky flex play in deeper leagues this week because of his injury. Randall Cobb and Allen Lazard would likely see more playing time against Pittsburgh this weekend if MVS doesn't suit up.
