Marcus Semien Goes 0-For-6 In Wednesday's Loss
3 years agoTexas Rangers second baseman Marcus Semien had a rough game at the plate in Wednesday's loss to the Tampa Bay Rays. In a game that went 11 innings long, Semien went 0-for-6 with three strikeouts. The 31-year-old closed out the month of May on a positive note, recording at least one hit in each of his last five games of the month, racking up a home run, a double and seven RBI over that five-game stretch. He'll need several more streaks like that to help make up for his nightmarish start to the year. Over 48 games, he's slashing .193/.258/.266 with one home run, six stolen bases, 17 RBI and 21 runs.
