Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender Magnus Hellberg will be between the pipes on Thursday when he takes on the hosting Los Angeles Kings. Hellberg entered Tuesday's 2-0 shutout win over the Ducks in place of Tristan Jarry who departed following a collision with Ducks forward Adam Henrique, turning aside all 11 shots he faced to preserve the goose egg. For his part, Jarry is listed day-to-day with swelling around his eye but he has seemingly avoided a concussion. The 32-year-old Hellberg has stopped 26 of the 28 shots he has faced in a pair of relief appearances this season and owns a 3.09 goals-against average and an .888 save percentage across 25 career NHL games between the Predators, Rangers, Red Wings, Senators, and Penguins. He is serving as Jarry's backup this season following the departure of Casey DeSmith in the offseason.--Brenton KempRead More News
