Luis Robert Capable Of Breaking Out In 2021
4 years agoChicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert struck out in roughly one-third of his plate appearances last September, but he's extremely talented and had nine batted balls with an exit velocity of 110-plus mph in 2020. That metric put him in company with superstars like Marcell Ozuna, Corey Seager, Giancarlo Stanton and Ronald Acuna Jr. last season. The swings and misses won't suddenly disappear in 2021, but the 23-year-old has plenty of power at his disposal and is capable of hitting 25-30 home runs over a full season for the Pale Hose. Robert struck out 32.2 percent of the time last season, so fantasy managers shouldn't be expecting a ton of help in the average department, but he did hit over .300 in the minors and has an incredibly high ceiling. You'll have to pay a premium price in the early rounds for the fringy top-10 outfielder.
