Luis Arraez Pulled Early Against Padres
2 years agoMiami Marlins second baseman Luis Arraez (leg) seemed to favor his left leg late in the 10-1 loss to the San Diego Padres on Thursday and was replaced at the keystone by Garrett Hampson in the top of the eighth inning. Before leaving the contest, Arraez went 1-for-2 with an RBI to raise his batting average to an absurd .382 on the year with a .903 OPS. The 26-year-old has had a couple injury scares so far in 2023, and hopefully this one doesn't turn out to be anything serious. It's possible the Marlins were being extra cautious in a game that had already been decided, but fantasy managers should check back for more details on his injury and whether it will cause him to miss any time. Arraez is one of the best hitters in the game.
